If you'd like to wear club kit, please speak with Alison Watson / Emilie Mar-Molinero or drop a message on the Parents WhatsApp group. We hold a small stock in different sizes at the Thorney Clubhouse so we may be able to accommodate your needs.
We are keen to make it very clear there is no obligation to wear club kit, however the riders like to feel part of the club by wearing club kit, and we like to make the riders feel comfortable and confident wearing racing kit. Being comfortable in their club racing kit with peers is an important factor in retaining riders at certain ages, particularly older girls in the club. We will not tolerate any adverse comments about riders’ appearance in kit from either fellow riders or supporters and we ask this is respected without fail. |

Solent Pirates kit is supplied by Kalas with the club having an online shop to place orders. The shop opens three times per year so keep an eye out for updates on the exact date that kit can be ordered. Kit is specially designed to fit young riders including small chamois pads. Prices are kept as low as possible and the club doesn’t make any profit from the sale of it.
Youth members (all riders who race up to and including Under 16’s) are eligible to wear yellow club kit and this may be worn at races if representing the Club. This is the British Cycling registered kit and is the only kit that may be worn at races by Youth members. Youth members may not wear black kit. Black Club kit is available for adult and Junior (16-18) riders and may be worn at races if representing Solent Pirates in a Junior or Adult category. Any adult representing Solent Pirates in black club kit must be an adult member of the club and a British Cycling member. Club hoodies are also available in child and adult sizes, these are black for all ages as this is not race kit. Email [email protected] with any queries.
